Adult Faith Formation & Lifelong Learning
"I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know him, so that, with the eyes of your heart enlightened, you may know the hope to which he has called you, . . and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power for us who believe." Ephesians 1:17

Continuing in the Fall of 2022
We continue our journey through The Book of Common Prayer, the Christian life, and basic beliefs of our faith in this easy to follow series. Practicing Our Faith walks us through the liturgical year, the sacraments of the church, habits of daily prayer, and the teachings of Anglican Christianity.
About the course
"Even though we may pray the words of The Book of Common Prayer each week, many of us do not know where these prayers come from, what they mean, or how they call us to live from day to day. Practicing Our Faith walks, step by step, through the prayer book. Each session, participants gather to hear a short lecture on one section of The Book of Common Prayer, exploring what each liturgy says and how it is typically used in our communities. Then the class explores together the connections between the words of our prayers, our beliefs, and the daily practice of faith, exploring questions such as: 'What does the burial liturgy have to teach us about what Episcopalians believe about death?' Or 'How does the Daily Office teach us to integrate prayer into our daily lives?'"
How much you share is entirely up to you. This is a very non-threatening series.
Who is this series for: Practicing Our Faith is meant for life-long Episcopalians, those new the Church, and those who presently have no church and are questioning or interested in learning about Christianity. To see an outline of the series click HERE.
Where: This series will take place both in person at the parish hall and simultaneously online using Zoom. If weather is bad, a session may be on Zoom only.
When: The series will resume on October 4, 2022 and meet every other week for 8 sessions. We will work around Thanksgiving, and there will be a lengthy break for Christmas--a great program for Advent and Lent. You can join the program at any time.
