FUNERALS & MEMORIAL SERVICES

At St. James, we understand that the death of a loved one is one of life’s most difficult and sacred moments. Grief brings emotional, spiritual, and practical challenges—and no one should walk through it alone.
Our clergy and parish community are here to offer support, prayer, and guidance as you honor a life and grieve a loss.
Planning a Funeral or Memorial Service
We will work closely with you and your chosen funeral home to plan a service that honors your loved one and offers comfort to all who mourn. If you are facing a loss or preparing for a funeral, please contact Fr. Lew Crusoe at 231-818-9262.
Pre-Planning Your Funeral
St. James encourages all parishioners to consider pre-planning their own funeral or that of a loved one. Doing so offers a spiritual gift to your family by easing decision-making during a time of grief and ensuring your wishes are honored.
